We head over to the Danes for our Saturday European NAP. An Interesting fixture on the cards today in Denmark where the Farum club host the mighty FC Midtjylland. While Away been in decent form in Superliga with recently securing UCL group stage via playoffs, this match might bring in all the spice for a highly carded and scoring affair.

First thing that comes to the scene here is Nordsjaelland’s recent performance. They clinch a draw against Horsens in last round and currently sitting inside the top six bubble. But they are not the same as they used to be. They have sold two of their best players in Kudus and Mikkel which degraded the team performance massively. They haven’t seen a green tick yet against Mighty away team for last 4 H2H matches since last year but today might be the day when they would fancy their chances. You’d ask why?

Midtjylland has too much going on with their fixture. They have started their campaign early and had a very tight schedule with the Playoffs. Their next fixture in UCL is up against Ajax in tuesday which is possibly one of the fixture where they would fancy bringing a point or three. Tight schedule, fatigue resulting in a squad who are carrying a heap loads of injuries. First eleven players like Jesper Hansen, Erik Sviatchenko, Paulinho and Sory Kaba are out of the squad also Gustav Isaksen who started against Brondby.

Referee and Team Tactics

J. A. Sundberg takes charge of this fixture, he is not too shy dishing out plenty of cards. He officiated two fixtures this season and produced 75 and 65 Booking points consecutively. He has only shown less than 45 BP twice in the last 10 fixtures he officiated. His cards per foul ratio complement a lot going forward with the two teams we are talking about here. Both teams somewhat average around 45ish match BP this season but we are looking into the context here mostly which refers to Home trying their best to squeeze out something from this fixture. Farum team will field the same back three formation and expect them to maintain a high line here.

Both teams been shipping tons of goals this season. To put it simply, both can score and can not keep a clean sheet. Not gonna utter the stats here, easy to find in google. Expect this to be a very open affair as Brian Pirske won’t risk his squad to get juiced out for the whole 90 mins. So both teams will have their fair chances on the block.
