2:20 Aintree – Camprond 8/1
Ran a great race in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham and was just beaten towards the end. Will learn from this mistake and should be in for a great chance this afternoon. Has finished 2nd before in this race and everything is pointing towards this being the year they take a step forward and win a big one! With any race that has a big field, it’s always a tough one to call as there are so many factors that are out of the horses control, but I am happy to take the odds on this one.
2:55 – Luccia 4/1
Had a disappointing run at Cheltenham this year, but if there’s one thing trainer Nicky Henderson can do, it’s get a horse to comeback stronger from a bad showing. Has heaps of potential. Today will tell if Cheltenham was just a blip or if the Grade 1 pace is just too much at this level. Slightly better ground conditions today so should be a good help.

2:20 Aintree – Pull Again green 14/1 E/W
Needed the run last time out and looks to be on a fair mark to run well. EW bet with most bookmakers paying 6 places
2:55 Aintree – Inthepocket 4/1 E/W
Ran a great race in Cheltenham behind Marine Nationale and I think he’s the best horse in this race. Also playing E/W where most bookmakers paying 4 places
4:40 Aintree – Absolute Notions 4/1 E/W
Davy Russell on board here where the horse has skipped Cheltenham to come here. Bet Sandor Clegane last time out and just behind good land. I expect a big run here.
Treble pays 374/1
