This week we’re seeing the ever-famous Cheltenham festival taking place and punters across the globe celebrate! A big occasion like this means it’s easy to get carried away – and to help steer you in the right direction we’ve gotten two of our CBKProps contributors Ryan Bets and JBTBets to give us their expert analysis on the days ahead!
Do shop around for the best prices and/or offers that differ between the books – For instance, El Fabiolo is boosted to 1.5/1 via BetFair. Also make note of books offering more E/W places – Skybet for instance offers 8 places, whereas other books offer 4

1:30 – Supreme Novice
I fancy Facile Vega to return to form in the Supreme Novice hurdle after a poor run at Leopardstown at Christmas. A top class horse who won a champion bumper last year and personally think he will run a good race and brush away rivals. But there is no value in that price so I’m taking Il Etait Temps @5/1 EW Doctor Bravo @22/1 EW via Bet365
2:10 – Ankle Chase
A two horse race in my opinion with Jonbon and El Fabiolo – I am firmly on the side of el Fabiolo to turn over Jonbon. Jonbon’s last run at Warwick wasn’t very promising and El Fabiolo’s last race was a win in the Irish arkle. Looks a cracking race. Taking El Fabiolo 11/8 WIN @ Bet365
4:10 – Mares Hurdle
A huge chance from Mullins yard in this race at a decent price, he spoke well about her last morning which gives me the idea that he’s quietly confident in her upsetting the odds in this. Brandy love 6/1 E/W @ Bet365

Ryan mostly plays football and NBA bets and can be found on Twitter – furthermore, Ryan has strong connection to trainers in Ireland where he always hears interesting whispers!
1:30 – Supreme Novice
It sounds like everyone is on Facile Vega for this one but I’m not convinced this time around. Many people are overlooking Marine Nationale due to the ground conditions but I think it’s got a great chance and at 9/2 and higher in some places, I think it’s certainly worth a go. Marine Nationale 9/2 E/W @ Bet365
2:10 – Ankle Chase
With Mullins having 4 horses in this race, I think he shown his hand here with who he thinks has the best chance by putting jockey Townsend on him. If he can get his jumping right on this one, he should win by a handful of lengths. Has beat some tough opposition this year in Leopardstown in February even with a mistake on a jump. This is my NAP of the day and maybe even the week! Will take some going to beat this horse! El Fabiolo 11/8 WIN @ Bet365
5:30 – National Hunt Chase
Mullins is notorious for cleaning up on the first day of Cheltenham and I don’t see the National Hunt ending in anything other than a Mullins win. Perhaps the only horse in this race who’s has proved itself at this distance and if given a clean free run at it, it should be a tier above the pack. Gailard Du Mesnil 11/10 WIN @ Bet365
You can play these at singles or a Treble at 22/1. Good luck to everyone on what should be a great Festival.
